Read. Just Read

Unfollow is the story of Megan Phelps-Roper and how she began to question the church in which she was raised. It is a hard story and heartbreaking to read but it is certainly worth doing so. If you haven’t read this, I urge you to do so now.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.

I read that article some time ago. While she won’t be earning brownie points immediately for her misdeeds it is encouraging to see people defecting from that toxic “church.”

I feel awful for her, as it is a horrible shock to realize that what you believed in was so massively screwed up.

It’s good to see that she’s gotten out. I’m hoping she can use this as a jumping off point for a better life.
