So earlier this month, I had an appointment with a doctor and had a few things looked at, if you will. One thing led to another and I ended up having to get a biopsy–content note: some nudity–in order to check things out. I got the results last week.

The words “abnormal cells” and “pre cancer” were used. Now I get to meet with a specialist this Friday.

Brewers On Deck will not be happening this year but I will move heaven and hell in order to get my ass to BotCon. Screwed up priorities perhaps but it gives me something to fight for, honestly. Right now, I need that. Oh and those new guidelines for women? You know the one that states most women should get a mammogram at the age of fifty? Yeah, those need to be shoved into the nearest sewer, as they are nothing but shit.

Lastly: Fuck you, cancer.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.

I feel relieved that this was discovered early and that you became proactive in taking good care of yourself so that you’ll be around for all the things and people in life you love.:)
