Wish Me Luck

Tomorrow I have surgery. I’ll have to head into the hospital at 6:45 in the morning and have part of my left breast removed. I’m scared but I’m also glad that this was caught early; who knows how bad it could have been if if hadn’t been spotted so soon.

I’ll try and make a post on Wednesday. Tuesday I’ll be too tired to sit in front of a computer.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.

I am so sorry to hear what is happening Silverwynde. My sincere hope is that you come out of this stronger than ever before. I hope to see you and Prime in Louisville soon. I want everything to go absolutely well.

Thankfully, all went well and I didn’t have to lose the whole thing–just a piece–though I was sorely tempted to take all of her off. (Prime talked me off of that ledge. He’s more sensible about that sort of thing.)

What surprises me? I’m not in a ton of pain. I just went under a scalpel and I’m not popping pills like there’s no tomorrow.

And I don’t like Vicodin. It makes me dizzy. I’m glad I don’t have a refill on that Rx; I don’t like using it. =/
