A Texas-Sized Mistake

It seems lawmakers in Texas have advanced a bill–Senate Bill 25–that would allow doctors to not tell pregnant women that something may be wrong with the fetus they are carrying. In other words, these doctors wouldn’t have to say “Your baby will be stillborn” or “Your child will only have a brain stem at birth” or anything else of the sort. Now, why would these doctors do this? To make sure that the women in question wouldn’t possibly consider a legal medical procedure that would terminate the pregnancy, i.e. an abortion.

This is wrong on multiple levels. But right now, I’m so slagged off I can’t even form a coherent thought. Instead, I’ll just leave this here, as it seems fitting:
That’s quite a streak you’ve got going there, guys. Great job. And I don’t see it ending any time soon

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
