Childhood’s End

As you know, Transformers has played a big role in my life. I met my husband at a Transformers convention. I’ve made friends through the collecting of the toys. I’ve had incredible conversations in the autograph lines at BotCon, discussing the geekier aspects of the toy line, the cartoon and the movies.

So it’s with mixed emotions that I post this:

If anyone has earned a retirement, it is Yoke-san. Not only is he an amazing human being but a truly wonderful individual; I got the opportunity to meet him at a BotCon and he was so gracious. He will be missed at TakaraTOMY; I miss him already.

どうもありがとうございました (Dōmo arigatōgozaimashita) and おめでとうございます (Omedetōgozaimasu), Yoke-san. Thank you, congratulations and all of my love for everything you’ve done. May we meet again!

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
