The Grand Nagus won’t allow transgender people to serve in the military. So much for his being an ally. But then again, he hasn’t kept any of his promises so why start now?
I’m livid. I’m past livid. Not simply because this happened but because I knew it was going to happen. I knew that the Grand Nagus wouldn’t step up and help the LGBTQ community at all. Just like I knew he wouldn’t “drain the swamp”. Just like I knew he wouldn’t defeat ISIS in 30 days. Just like I knew he wouldn’t be able to build the wall and make Mexico pay for it. Just like I knew every single thing that came out of his mouth was bullshit.
Granted, this is a distraction: the Nagus doesn’t want us focused on the repeal of the ACA or the whole Russian collusion situation. He wants to distract us. I get that. They say we should pick our battles in a situation like this and I agree.
In my case, I pick all of them. Every. Last. Damn. One.
**EDIT @ 14:30** This is, in fact, a political stunt. Just like I figured. Again, we have to pick our battles and I’m picking them all. Because I have to pick them all.
