#500

This is post number five hundred for this blog. I can barely believe it. On my previous blog, it took five years to get to this point; now I’ve done it in about half the time. This calls for a celebration.

Okay, enough of that. It could get expensive. Using all those lasers, I mean. The EPA won’t do anything right now because Grand Nagus and all.

It’s a little hard to believe for me; when I started this blog, I didn’t think I’d take it so seriously. My previous one had simply been a place where I could rant about a few things, like my job, and call it good. But when I started this one…

This blog became a place where I could go and talk about things that, quite frankly, I couldn’t mention before. Instead of being judged, I was accepted and for me, to have my words accepted at face value was gigantic. I didn’t have to post anything while looking over my shoulder, fearful I might offend anyone.

For that reason–and countless others–this place became a sanctuary for me. Is it any wonder that I reached 500 posts in under two and a half years?

As you can expect, I’ll keep posting. Expect more Caturday videos and Nostalgia Crushes. Expect more geekery and the like. And expect me to still be here, posting away on Bumblebee and other things. Because this has been quite the ride and I don’t want it to stop now.

Onward, to the next 500!

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
