What Happens in Miller Park

Prime went to a Brewers game last night. The series in question–it’s one versus the Reds–is part of Fan Appreciation. When Fan Appreciation happens at Miller Park, everyone attending gets a neat little scratch card that will net a prize of some sort. It can be a discount to the Team Store, 10% off of concessions, or various, other prizes. Well, Prime got a scratch card last night. His prize?

Tickets to the series opener against the Cardinals. No, it’s not for Opening Day itself but for either of the two games after. Insert a “Waspinator have plans” here. Boy howdy, do I have plans now.

Tonight will be my last Brewers game of the season. It’s more than a little heartbreaking, to be quite honest; the season just flew by. It feels like only yesterday I was hoping the snow would clear off the ground and the leaves would open up so we could have decent weather for the home opener at Miller Park. Now, the leaves are falling and we’re talking about magic numbers and possible wildcard playoffs. Where did the time go?

I don’t know when the gates will close for the season at Miller Park. I can’t say for certain whether or not the Crew will be able to get a spot in the playoffs. But I do know that I will do everything in my power to be there next year, in April, cheering for my Crew.

When the gates open next year, I can hardly wait to step through again.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
