Life Imitating Lowbrow Art

I found this on the Friendly Atheist and it still has me scratching my head: Christian Pastor Says Women Who Dress Provocatively Are Sexually Assaulting Men. I’m not making this up.

Gallups agreed, saying that if a man were to parade around the workplace “in a very sexually suggestive outfit,” women would immediately file sexual harassment claims. He demanded to know, therefore, “why wouldn’t it be sexual assault” when a woman does it.

“We are just discussing what should be obvious,” Gallups insisted. “The science supports us in it.”

If this sounds familiar, it should. It was the basic idea behind an episode of Beavis and Butt-head. YEAH.

Well, it’s nice to know that Beavis and Butt-head have gone on to lead lives after the whole MTV cancelling their show thing. I just wish they weren’t being quite this obnoxious about it, though.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
