Another Day in Paradise

This might end up being the brightest part of my day and that’s saying something.

Today, I was supposed to be sleeping in a little, getting up later, and maybe having some time on Alexa before heading out. You know, the usual stuff I do on a day I work late.

That didn’t happen.

Yesterday, Jennee, one of my managers, asked what I was working today. Today was a four to nine. However, Jennee changed it. So now I’m working two to ten thirty. Oh and I’m closing Food Court.

Yay. Go me. I can hardly wait.

I’m thinking that they just needed some help in there; it’s probably going to be me and a newbie or two. Because if I’m actually alone in there, it could be a problem. With the amount of cleaning Food Court requires, two people is at best a minimum. I’m not kidding. When I closed, we were scrubbing down the walls most nights!

It’s going to be a long evening.

At least I’m off tomorrow. I’ll be seeing Justice League at noon. That’s a little something to look forward to, I think. As for next week’s schedule, my hours have changed. Instead of 35, I’ll be getting 38. My paycheck won’t suck.

It’s the most wonderful time to have a beer. Glad I have one in the fridge.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
