I’ve reached 750 posts. Officially, I have made the same amount of posts in under three years here, as compared to over a decade on my previous site.
That’s well under half the time. In fact, that’s around a third of the time I spent on Blogger. Even more surprising is the fact that in 250 posts, I’ll hit a thousand.
To be quite honest, I doubt that I would have ever gotten to that point on my previous blog. At the rate I was posting, I probably would have shuttered the blog long before I reached that goal. It wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy the blog, but things had changed and I didn’t feel safe posting there. My audience–or rather, a certain member of my audience–was making me second guess myself, which was a shame.
In the near thirteen years since I’ve been blogging, I didn’t think that I’d reach this point. I never thought that I would have this many posts under my virtual belt. I didn’t think I’d be closing in on a thousand posts. I didn’t think I’d have a bigger audience than what I had on Blogger. It’s been a crazy trip and I’ve loved every second of it.
So I can’t wait to see how many more posts I’ll make, how many kitten videos I’ll share and how many geeky rants I’ll post. It’s been a ride and it’s just getting started.
