Welcome to another edition of Asshat of the Week, where I have a laugh at an asshat because they are behaving like an asshat. This week’s asshat is TJ Miller.
So TJ Miller basically got drunk, boarded an Amtrak train, acted obnoxious in first class and called a fake bomb tip into the local police station because he was acting like an ass to a woman. He’s looking at a possible five years behind bars.
Now, if the name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s been in a lot of stuff. He was a cast member of Silicon Valley, voiced Fred in the theatrical release of Disney’s Big Hero Six and was Cade Yeager’s assistant–emphasis on the word “ass”–in Transformers: Age of Extinction. He’s not unknown. But personally, I never found him funny. He reminded me of Dane Cook, one of those guys who says words and moves around and the audience bursts out laughing. In other words, he’s not worth his hype.
But now he can add “flaming asshat” to his resume, thanks to this little stunt. I wouldn’t call it a great accomplishment. Though Miller might call it “business as usual”. Just another feather in his assy little cap.
