Them’s the Brakes

If only it were that simple.

Prime and I took in a Timber Rattlers game tonight; the score was tied 1 – 1 until the ninth inning when Beloit took a 4 – 1 lead. Seems the Rattlers bullpen decided to shit the bed and that’s all she wrote. The team’s below .500 and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better for them. I will be very surprised if the Rattlers make it into the postseason.

Scamper’s getting his brakes fixed. A couple of nights ago, we noticed an awful grinding noise almost every time Prime would brake and it got worse as our trip continued. I’m hoping that this will be the last repair we have to make on Scamper; it may be a matter of time before we are forced to get a new vehicle. Prime’s willing to spend only so much on repairs before conceding. I don’t want it to come to that point yet.

Tomorrow is the grand opening of the new Meijer. It appears that I’ll be heading over there to take a look. I know that it’ll be crazy but I hope that it isn’t too crazy. Wish me luck.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
