Thursday Night Lights

Again, a rather nice view, if I do say so myself. It’s the view from our season ticket seats; we’re next to the visitor’s dugout.

The giveaway last night was an ice cream helmet. No, I didn’t use mine as I didn’t quite feel up to something cold. I’m dealing with what might be a slight head cold; ice cream might have started a coughing fit.

It was a low scoring game–more of a pitcher’s duel–but it was fun. We had one of the Rattlers get thrown out of the game for pitching his batting helmet down in frustration over a bad call, but that was about it for drama.

That’s Whiffer in the background. The Timber Rattlers have two mascots: Fang the rattlesnake and Whiffer. Both are awesome, just saying.

The Rattlers were up against the Quad Cities River Bandits and managed to get a sweep, it seems. Last night, the T-Rats won 1 to nothing. Like I said, it was a low scoring game, but it was a lot of fun.

We may be going to the game tonight, Prime and I. If we’re lucky, it’ll be another win.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
