Oh Hall Yea(H)

I really wish I was at San Diego Comic-Con right now. It appears that on Friday night from 17:00 to 18:00, in Hall H–yes, that Hall H where Loki made a surprise appearance–there will be a panel for the Bumblebee movie. The three main human stars will be there along with the director, Travis Knight.

I want to be there. You have no idea how badly I want to be there. Sure, it would mean chair surfing for the better part of a day–the halls aren’t cleared out at Comic-Con like they were at BotCon–and Prime would have to take over for me on occasion so I could grab food and drink but I’d still want to do it. Comic-Con has been on my bucket list for a number of years now but this just takes the cake. I’d be a happy little nerd if I could be there. Happy and screeching, at the very least.

Prime and I did some talking last night and we’ve come to a decision: we’re going to have to get a new laptop by the end of the year. Alexa’s days are numbered, I fear. Sure, she still functions, but we can’t update any of our browsers. On top of that, she can’t stream video via Chrome, but can through Firefox. However, it’s only a matter of time before Firefox  won’t be able to do it either. So we’re going to have to get a new computer. I’ll still use Alexa–she’s fine for blogging and writing–but she won’t be our main PC anymore. I can’t help it, I’m a little upset about it.

Work was steady, not tremendously overwhelming. I frankly thought it might be busier but I was wrong. We’re closed tomorrow since it’s the Fourth, which is nice. I never got the day off with pay when I worked at Wal-Mart.

Speaking of which, I ran into one of my former co-workers today. She said that I looked happier here than at Wal-Mart. She’s right. I enjoy my job and I don’t have to worry about being fired for a stupid reason. That takes a huge load off of me. I also make better money than at Wal-Mart, so that’s a huge difference.

Prime and I just got home from the theatre. We saw Fireworks, a subtitled anime. While in the theatre, I spotted a poster for the Bumblebee movie and nearly lost it. Prime had to stop me from hugging the blasted thing. I’m going to have to go back and see if I can possibly kay hands upon it. For reasons.

It’s still a long wait until Christmas.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
