You Bet Jurassic

I dunno, the raptors might be easier to handle.

Yesterday, I finally managed to catch a showing of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Apparently, the movie only scored a 51% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a shame. It’s actually a fairly good film; there are some minor pacing issues but it’s a solid feature. My main criticism is about the Indoraptor, which is sadly underutilized. It doesn’t make an appearance until the third act and when it does it pretty much steals the show in every scene it appears. I don’t want to go into details, but it’s easily one of the coolest characters in the film.

One of the bus routes passes by a Petsmart. One of my days off, I may just hit there to see what they have.

I would have done a double feature yesterday but nothing else looked all that great. This summer movie season seems a bit lackluster to me. That and I want to save my money for December and the Bumblebee movie. Because I have every intention of seeing that one multiple times.

We’re selling a lot more in the way of school supplies. We’ve also gotten in our shipment of gloves. Summer weekends are now numbered. Whether I’m ready for it or not, the cold weather is coming. Though autumn will be nice. At least it won’t be so blasted hot. But I dread the day that I see Christmas merchandise.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
