I have to admit, on one hand I’m glad that fall is coming. It won’t be so blasted hot. On the other, we’ll have to deal with frost and eventually snow, which I don’t even want to think about right now. Once the weather turns, it means that I won’t be able to simply leave from home whenever I want; Prime will have to drop me off at work early. That pretty much means that my tablet will become a staple; listening to podcasts will keep the heat off of me, but that has seemingly changed quite a bit. I’ll get into that in a little bit.
We have had way too much rain lately. So much that I’m thinking a drought–or at least an extended dry spell–would be lovely right now. We’ve had flood warnings and flash floods like you wouldn’t believe; Madison’s been hit especially hard. Granted, we needed some rain but this is absolutely ridiculous.
Work has been quiet and no one has given me any grief. As I posted before, I really think that it was the one co-worker who had a problem with the remote being near–not in my hand or being used by, mind you–me. No one has said word one to me in weeks. Better yet, even she has backed off and things are much, much quieter. No, I still don’t particularly like this woman–she’s pretty difficult to work with–but things are quite tolerable now.
Random note: Liquid Plumber Hair Clog Eliminator sucks. I’m gonna have to buy some damned Foaming Pipe Snake to try and clear out the damn bathtub drain, since it’s been draining slowly and I thought there was a hair clog down there. Apparently, it’s something freaking worse and the Eliminator isn’t doing the damned job.
The Timber Rattlers didn’t make the playoffs. To say I’m upset is putting it mildly. Maybe next season.
