We Now Return to Our Regularly Scheduled Post

This is about as non-political as I get. Just saying.

It’s our anniversary this week, Prime and me. We’ve been together for 19 years, nine of them as a married couple. It doesn’t feel like it’s been nearly two decades; hell, it feels like yesterday that I was boarding the plane to St. Paul for BotCon 1999. Where does the time go? Before you ask, Prime: yes, I’d do it all over again. In a heartbeat. ❤

For a Monday, it was busy. But we’re looking at a little more than a week until Christmas, so that’s the reason why. There were a lot of members buying the usual last minute items and our seasonal toy section is getting rather thin. I can’t tell if that makes me feel relieved or sad. It’s really hard to say. I’m not that fond of this time of year but it is near my anniversary, so it’s hard not to feel nostalgic. Even if it’s only a little.

Most of the snow has melted. The temperatures have been above average lately, so the frozen stuff can’t really stick around. I wouldn’t mind if the temperature stayed like this; I’ve never enjoyed thirty below zero wind chills. But it seems more than a little wrong not to have a white Christmas.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
