Too Fold To Cuck

The snow has stopped for now, but the temperatures have turned cold, bitterly cold. We’re no looking at wind chills in the -50s or so. There are literally no colors on any weather map that can depict how truly, bone chillingly cold our area is right now. It’s crazy.

Yet, somehow, I’m somewhat used to it.

I never thought I’d say that; my idea of bone chilling cold was at one time 15 degrees. We didn’t have weather like this at all in the south. Back in 1989, we actually made it down to zero on Christmas eve and that was almost too much for us. But now, here in Wisconsin, zero doesn’t sound so bad.

It only took me around twenty years but I think I’m finally acclimated to it. Hard to believe.

In other news, Prime and I may be looking into getting a new vehicle sooner than I had expected; Scamper’s driver’s side headlight isn’t working. Prime noticed it Tuesday morning and I confirmed it. The passenger-side headlight was fine, but not the driver’s side. He’s slapped it and it’s turned on, so it’s probably a loose connection, which would probably still require a visit to a mechanic.

We might have to consider the worst case scenario: we may have to look into getting another car. It’s not something that makes me happy.

I know, I know; Scamper’s just a car. But I’ve gotten rather attached to the little guy and the idea of having to replace him doesn’t sit well with me. I knew it was inevitable, but I also don’t have to like it.

Currently, my Costco has red velvet cake in the bakery. The stuff is amazingly good, and naturally, it’s amazingly bad for me. See, I love me some red velvet cake, but it’s definitely not the healthiest thing on Earth…but it’s red velvet and i can’t say no…buuuuutt…

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
