Last night, we got an inch of snow. Over the weekend, that will melt, refreeze, get a couple of more inches of snow added to it, then possibly melt and refreeze again. Do not ask me what is up with this weather because the only thing I can say is “climate change”.
Poor Prime. He took yet another tumble–this time at home–while getting in our garbage and recycling cans. The snow covered over the icy patches on the sidewalk so when he stepped in a certain spot, he fell. Thankfully, it was on his backside, which meant he wasn’t injured. It scared the absolute hell out of me, though.
It never ceases to amaze me just how damned stupid some people can be when it comes to snow. As Prime and I were heading home last night, I saw someone in a truck, replete with overly swollen tires, in one of the roundabouts. They took the curve far too fast and started to skid. The thing is, I think whoever it was did this on purpose or they didn’t care that they were skidding out. Luckily, no one was in front of or behind this rampaging jackass so there wasn’t an accident. But fools like that are the reason I tell Prime to be careful; he knows what he’s doing but some other moron might pull shit like that and well, you know. Humans can be such idiots sometimes.
Our local BP stations have started their Brewers promotion. Prime picked up his first card a couple of days ago. I know that a lot of people consider December the “most wonderful time of the year” but for Prime and I, this is ours. The promise of a free Brewers game is so much more exciting than Christmas. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Last night was the State of the Union address. As you can imagine, I didn’t watch. Well, not much of it; I did get treated to a few shots of the Grand Nagus running his mouth and the Veep looking at him with such sexual tension that it was pretty palpable. Seriously, everyone out there get you someone who looks at you the same way the Veep looks at the Grand Nagus.
It’s still cloudy. We might see some sun this weekend, but it’ll be colder. Yay. Gotta love winter. Well, this one at least; it’s been an absolute roller coaster ride.
Just caught the latter half of X2. I had forgotten just how damn good the X-Men movies really were. Especially Nightcrawler and Logan. Too bad they involved that POS Bryan Singer, may he burn in every fire of the known multiverse.
