There’s No Crying In Baseball

Another day, another Timber Rattlers game.

It was an overcast afternoon and fairly cool. Not the greatest weather for baseball.

The guys were up against the Lake County Captains, who took an early lead in the top of the first.

The giveaway for this game was a baseball, celebrating twenty five years of Timber Rattlers baseball. Also included in this picture, a Whiffer Waffle and my Helmet cheese fries. (Cheese fries are ballpark food kryptonite for me.)

It wasn’t exactly busy, as you can tell by the front gate. But we had a decent amount of people in the Club this time.

The Timber Rattlers managed to tie it at the bottom of the fifth, making it a one to one game. But the Captains pulled ahead, due to some extremely bad pitching from the Timber Rattlers. The bases were loaded at least twice in the top of the sixth and two runs were walked in by two different pitchers. Not a great showing by any means.

The TRats did manage to get a run in the bottom of the eighth, making it a three run game, but left the bases loaded.

Final score: Lake County Captains – 6 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers – 3.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
