Ofprime and Baseball

Welcome to the Republic of Gilead. Blessed be the fruit.

So why is this post so late? Because Prime and I were here, at another Rattlers game. We got there early, as in, the Peoria Chiefs were taking batting practice. That was fun to watch.

Some of the guys were playing catch, others were running drills, it was really cool to see everything. I really hope that Prime can make this a regular habit.

As the evening wore on, the clouds dissipated and things got nice and clear. The temperature was perfect: I don’t think we dropped below 67°. There was a good breeze, too, so it wasn’t too stifling.

The Chiefs didn’t fare too well; they lost 7 – 2. However, I did get autographs on my Chiefs pennant, which was awesome. So there’s that.

Also, a quick lesson in How Not to be a Garbage Human: you are not owed a ball at a baseball game. Period. The players don’t have to throw anything to you. If you ask and they don’t, you’re being an asshole when you tell them they suck. You buying a ticket does not mean that you will get a game used ball. Get over it. (Seriously, some “fans”…!)

All in all, it was a fun evening. And there’s still a lot more baseball to go! We’re just getting started!

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
