What the Doctor Ordered

Can we get some samples of this at my Costco? It could help.

Saturday was not a good day. At all. I don’t want to go into the gory details, but it involved a trip to the ER and a terrifically ill Prime. Seems he caught a gastrointestinal virus and it hit him like slagging Mjolnir. He’s gotten a prescription for anti-nausea meds and he’ll be making an appointment to see our doctor soon. Still, Saturday had me about to tear my hair out; I don’t think I’ve ever been so anxious in my life.

Also: gay couples should have the same rights as any other married couple. Because I’m Prime’s wife, I was allowed in his room. But there are states out there that want to deny that right to gay couples and it’s bullshit. Just because someone else’s relationship makes you feel uncomfortable does not give you the right to discriminate. End of fucking discussion. Thanks for listening to my TED talk. Stick around folks, I’ll be here all week.

Although Prime feels better, he’s not at one hundred percent yet, which means he has to stick to a bland diet. He’s not happy about that and I don’t blame him, but the poor mech can’t really handle spicy or rich foods. (I know this from experience: I dealt with a bout of food poisoning about twelve years ago.)

He does, however, get to eat Popsicles for lunch. It’s a small perk but a perk nonetheless.

Salinn is now the new Night Merchandise manager, which means we are going to have someone new for the Front End. Maybe now the schedules won’t be so ridiculous. I can only hope.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.

He’s getting there, but it’s slow. Gastrointestinal troubles seem to be the worst for that sort of thing. He’s certainly more alert than on Saturday.
