Stars and Strikes

You might recall that I took in a baseball game last night. Well, Prime had a pair of unused tickets, so he traded them in last night for a pair to tonight’s game.

A quick trip to the mound. The Rattlers got off to a shaky start, allowing a home run and an RBI in the top of the third gave the River Bandits the lead.

We had a pretty decent threat in the bottom of the third, with one in scoring position and only one out but the River Bandits quashed it fairly quickly.

A mound visit/pitching change in the top of the sixth. There were runners at the corners for the River Bandits and no outs. Although the TRats were able to get a pair out, the Bandits plated two more runs, widening the lead. Mercifully, the inning did finally end, but the damage was done.

Final score: Quad Cities River Bandits – 4

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers – 0

But all was not lost. At least we had fireworks after the game.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
