I believe it.
As I mentioned before, Prime and I hit another Rattlers game. Since Prime got off work early, he dropped by Costco, grabbed me, and we headed to Fox Cities Stadium. We got there early. How early? Well, the gates weren’t even open yet!
Like I said, early. Batting practice for the Clinton Lumberkings.
More batting practice. I couldn’t believe that I was close to the action!
A souvenir. As I was watching, one of the balls skidded to the wall and bounced back. I mimed trying to grab it and half pouted, but laughed, when I couldn’t. One of the guys shagging balls for the Lumberkings asked, “You want a ball?” I replied, “Yes, please!”
So he gave me one. Remember: being polite always helps. 🙂
The game was not as kind to the Rattlers, I’m afraid. Clinton has a better team and a better spot in the standings. But the TRats did try and make a game of it; they tied it, but the Lumberkings came back in the top of the ninth with a pair of two run homers.
Clinton Lumberkings – 7
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers – 3
