Seven Quick Takes Friday: All Aint’s Day Edition

1) Current mood:

Nuff said.

2) Kanye West wrote a song called “Closed on Sunday” and name-dropped Shit-Fil-A. Seriously. No, I have not listened to the song. I did, however, read the lyrics and felt my IQ drop by fifty points. Bad doesn’t even begin to describe it.

3) Thought for the week: Cheese is just a loaf of milk. Prove me wrong.

4) As always:

This is your weekly reminder that #FacebookIsTrash. Even more so because Breitbart is now a source of “legitimate” news on said social media network. But do tell me that Zark Fuckerberg keeps censoring conservative voices. Sure he does. 🙄

5) I’m thinking Lulu has some anxiety issue going on: on Tuesday, she tried to slip down the stairs and I quickly grabbed her and scooped her up into my arms. The poor cat peed a little on my left arm. This wasn’t “I need to use the litter box” this was “I’m scared something bad will happen”. From the paperwork that Karen gave me, I learned that Lulu was picked up by the police. I wouldn’t be surprised if the officer simply grabbed her and shoved her into a crate, then dropped her off at the Shelter. Imagine being yanked away from everything you know and being held in a place that’s full of strange scents and lots of noise. Suddenly, it makes sense that she gets nervous if she’s wrapped up in a towel or being held tightly; she honestly thinks something awful is going to happen! I’m fairly certain that we can work on this issue, as she’s fine when I let her lounge in my arms or let her jump on my shoulder. But it also makes sense as to why she’s been such a calming influence on me; I get that she’s dealt with trauma. So helping Lulu with her issues is helping me grapple with mine. We really did need each other. ❤

6) It seems that the days of me walking from the bus stop to work are all but over. Well, at least for this year. The evening before Halloween, we got snow. Halloween morning, it was still snowing. Things were pretty slippery outside so there was no way I could have walked safely from the bus stop to Costco. Menards doesn’t plow their parking lot and the Ross doesn’t keep their sidewalks clear, so the chances of me taking a tumble were fairly high. Guess Prime’s going to have to take me in earlier than I’m scheduled so I don’t have to deal with this. However, I have my phone and can bring my tablet, so I’ll be able to check out the news and listen to podcasts while I wait. So no, I won’t be bored.

7) It’s the first day of November; where the hell did the year go?

On that thoroughly depressing note, I shall draw this post to a close. Swing by again–same bot time, same bot channel–to read even more half baked thoughts and such. Until then, see you!

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
