3) Thought for the week: The more people I meet, the more I love my cat. Working in retail is the main reason.
4) I think Lulu and I have a rapport with each other because we’re both dealing with trauma. Neither one of us are completely right in the head and it shows. But I seem to have picked up on some of her triggers; she really doesn’t like being held tightly or for too long. Since I understand what triggers her anxiety, I have been making a point on working on it, helping her get past her trauma. It’s been helping me quite a bit as well. Lulu trusts me, which is no small feat, all things considered.
5) Thanksgiving was low-key, which is how I like it. The older I get, the less I enjoy holidays. Far too much stress involved for my tastes.
6) Yes, I’m glad that I’m off, but since I’m at Costco now, the day isn’t so awful. We open at 9:00 and have deals running the entire week, so there’s no need to rush. It’s the exact opposite of what we were dealing with at Walmart.
