Sick Days

At least you know where the cat has been…

It’s been over a week since notWiesia started missing work. Supposedly, she has the flu, but I’m forced to wonder. She doesn’t tell anyone anything. Hell, two years ago, when she had her knee replacement surgery, she didn’t say a word to us. I had thought she was on winter leave, but she was actually recuperating at home.

I don’t understand why she’s like that. I really don’t. Now, when it came to my surgery, I didn’t say much about it but I was out for three days. So no, it wasn’t for long. But notWiesia? She was out for weeks. Yet she chose to say nothing. It makes no sense to me.

Our schedules have been changed; it seems that during Christmas week, I will be off during the weekend. I guess that’s all right. I would still rather work on Sunday. I make more money that way.

We were fairly busy this morning; not overwhelmingly so but busy enough. At least things began to calm down in the afternoon.

It’s damn near over. We have a little over a week and Christmas will be over. I can’t wait.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
