By now, you know about Kobe Bryant, how he and his thirteen year old daughter were both killed in a helicopter crash.
Yes, it is a tragedy. No, I take zero pleasure in hearing this. But I can’t gloss over the facts.
Kobe Bryant was accused of rape. He may have been a spectacular basketball player but he was also accused of sexual assault. To deny this is to deny reality. It’s not pleasant, but it is true.
To say that I have conflicting emotions on this is putting it gently. No, I’m not happy that the man has died under these circumstances. It’s even worse because his young daughter was also among the victims; no one should die at the age of thirteen. It’s a tragedy.
But remember, like everyone else, the man had his flaws. He wasn’t a saint, not by any means. He was just as fallible as anyone else.
