Seems legit.
I’ve been using Pokémon Home for the past few days; the extra storage and the Wonder Box is great. There’s a stat checker, meaning you can finally see if you have actual 6IV Pokémon for breeding purposes, which is long overdue. So yeah, in that sense, it’s worth the Premium Plan.
Then, there’s the GTS. Hoo boy.
It’s still a steaming pile of excrement. People are asking for impossible trades: if it’s not Mythical Pokémon, then it’s level 1 to 10s that can’t be found in game unless you hack. In other words, it’s the exact same shit as every other GTS: a place where players simply waggle an e-peen in your face, showing off what they have and you’ll never get. It’s maddening and it doesn’t have to be this way.
Seriously, Nintendo, all it takes is a little coding. You could lock out those trades in a second but you don’t. You never do. Because you guys just don’t care. It’s no skin off your backs so you just don’t fix the problem. Or in this case, problems. I mean, hell, someone actually took it upon themselves to animate the Wingull model in the Wild Area and it took them twenty four hours. So, if you guys don’t know where to start…
It’s so bad that I’ve started up a file on Shield. It’s the only way I’ll get Zamazenta. I won’t be able to complete the Dex unless I play both games, because the asking prices for them are impossible. I can’t trade a Deoxys. I don’t have access to Melmetal and even if I did, it’s untradable as well. The GTS is still a cluster and now I’m paying to use it.
However, there is one bright side: I can leave a review on Google Play. I can tell others that the GTS stinks out loud and if that’s why they want the Premium Plan, they should skip it. I can leave the app one or two stars and let everyone know as to why. Maybe, just maybe, if Nintendo gets hit in the wallet, they might take action.
It would be nice.
