Ah, dear old Elim. His wit and wisdom do help during these trying times.
Lulu is happily lapping up her dinner; it’s Wholehearted chicken and pumpkin, so there’s a lot of broth for her to enjoy. The sound of her, eating her meal is oddly soothing to me right now.
Nothing seems normal. Not anymore.
I had the last several days off and I spent as much time as I could home; leaving the house seemed foolish. The Switch kept me quite busy, as I explored the Wild Area and took part in a few Max Raid battles; I even hosted some of my own. I managed to amass a good number of Gigantamax Duraludon and Charizard. Some of the Charizard have their Hidden Abilities while some of the Duraludon have extremely good IVs and could produce some excellent offspring, were I to go on a shiny hunt. I also had the chance to showcase some of my shinies; my shiny Golurk, Guardian, took part in quite a few battles, as did my shiny Araquanid, Spinister. So in that regard, I was able to keep my mind occupied.
Tomorrow, I go back to work. I’m not looking forward to it.
However, I’ll take the time to check Walmart and maybe look around Petco; I don’t have to buy any cat food in order to calm my nerves. Just browsing helps. I may grab another toy for Lulu, as her alligator scratch pad has gotten fairly worn due to usage. She loves clawing at it and if it makes her happy, well, who am I to deny her? It isn’t that expensive.
Of course, Lulu’s been quite a help as well. If my anxiety is through the roof, she’s hopping on my chest, snuggling with me. This cat knows.
Sadly, the only store open at the mall is Target, so I can’t simply hang out there. The food court is closed and the cafe in Target is only for Team Members. There’s really no where to go, other than work.
I’d really rather not. I’d rather stay home, in bed, with the Switch and Lulu and Prime, just not go out for a bit.
At least, I’d stay home until this is over. Too bad my job is essential.
