For Whom the Phone Rings

Pretty much.

Normally, this would have been done by now; I honestly thought I had more than enough time to put together a post before I left for work. But that didn’t happen. Instead, I got called in early. I’m still not entirely sure as to why.

When I got there at 16:00, there were two Cashier Assistants at the doors. It seemed that two people left right around 16:00 and the remaining person had to run the hourly procedure. So yeah, if I hadn’t answered my phone and come in at 17:30, we would have been screwed.

The thing is though, I’m not sure if this was due to a call in or simply ineptitude.

We’ve been having problems with the schedule lately; I don’t know exactly who is in charge of it, but they don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Coverage is spotty at best and some days we’re overstaffed. It’s ridiculous.

Oh well, it’s above my pay grade, so I can’t really care. I only hope that I don’t get called in early tomorrow; the Isle of Armor just dropped for Sword and Shield and I want to spend some time enjoying it.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
