No Surprise

At this point, who the fuck knows?

It happened: the Timber Rattlers announced that the 2020 season has been cancelled. I pretty much knew things were going to happen that way; the season is almost half over. If they wanted to start it, we’d have to do it in July and only play something like 45 to 50 games at most. On top of that, we’d have to keep the stadium at under half capacity, as well as place strict limits on tailgating. At least half of the tables and chairs would need to be removed in the club. Not a lot of people would be happy about any of that. So yeah, it would suck.

It doesn’t mean that I’m not unhappy about this. Far from it. I’ve gone to a lot of Rattlers games. I love being in the park. Having a helmet-full of cheese fries and a Whiffer waffle is probably one of my favorite things when I’m there and it won’t be happening this year.

Yeah, this sucks. The whole thing sucks. Maybe next year will be better.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.

I miss the fact me and Joe will not be having our annual trip to AT&T (formerly Oracle) Park to see the SF Giants in action this year. Hopefully in ’21?
