Saturday was insanely busy; we ended up with over 3,000 people in our store. Most, if not all of them, were rude. So it wasn’t fun, to put it gently. Most all of us had to push carts as well, but we only did thirty minutes at a time because the wind chill was so bad. One of my coworkers said she was so cold, she couldn’t feel her legs.
The crowds didn’t let up, either. We were busy right up to 18:00.
Sunday was slower. We had a good amount of people coming in until 16:30, then it dropped off and calmed down. People weren’t as uptight, either, so that was a bonus.
No, I didn’t watch the game. I didn’t really care to watch, either. My interest dropped to nothing when the Cleveland Browns were knocked out of the playoffs due to a bullshit call. I literally don’t care who won the damn thing now. I’m not being salty, just honest. That, and Tom Brady’s deflated balls being in anything just causes me to lose interest.
Things are gearing up for baseball season. There’s talk of letting fans in the stadiums this year. I might go, but only after I’ve been inoculated for coronavirus. Once I get my vaccinations, I’ll start to feel somewhat better. I’ll still mask up, though. I might just keep doing that for a while.
As to ever going back to normal, I don’t know. This pandemic has revealed a lot about people and not a lot of it was good. I don’t think I’ll be able to trust the public at large ever again.
