Hope Springs

Same.

I noticed the sign up sheet by the time clock. I thought it was the usual; a sales sheet for shirts or coffee mugs or something similar. I read it once and my jaw dropped.

This was a sign up for the Covid vaccine. I dropped my backpack and ran to get a pen.

Yes, I signed up. Immediately. I have at least a couple of weeks to wait. But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. I will be getting my Covid shots.

As for the rest of the day, it was a mixed bag. We had quite literally only two people at the door; both were gone by 17:00. My shift was only five hours so I was done by 17:30. Before I left, I saw no one else coming in to cover the door.

Yeah. I don’t know if anyone was scheduled for lot duty. It doesn’t really affect me; I wasn’t asked to stay any longer and I can’t do lot duty anyway. But the schedule is still hot garbage juice. I don’t know if it’s going to change.

Right now, I doubt it.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
