‘Meh’ Friday

Took me a minute…

The Brewers are off today; they’ll resume their series with the Twins on Saturday. My guys get a day to rest. I’m frankly a bit jealous, as I had to work today.

It was busy. Holy slag, it was busy. We hit 3,833 members for today. Our door counts were in the two hundreds for nearly the entire day. We needed two on the exit door, as there were so many people that we had bottlenecks. Front End was perpetually overwhelmed and there were members lined up to aisle 310. It was ridiculous.

Yes, a lot of people were buying hams. I also saw a lot of dinner rolls leave the building. People are getting ready for Easter dinner. Or as some call it “Resurrection Day”. Yeah.

Tomorrow will probably be just as bad. But I’m off Sunday, so I think I’ll be okay. This isn’t as awful as Walmart; we only shut down for Christmas and it wasn’t a paid holiday. Yeah, definitely better than Walmart, to be sure.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
