This weekend was interesting, to say the least. I learned something fairly interesting about a certain problematic coworker.
There’s a posting in the break room for a part time Member Service position. I mentioned to a fellow coworker–she works in Produce–that I had some trouble in that department. I told her that things got really bad after Dennis died, because Dennis and I were the only ones that didn’t have lot duty.
That’s when she told me that Dennis actually did for a night.
Apparently, Pam made such a huge deal about Dennis not being out in the lot that management pretty much forced him to do lot duty one night. But since Dennis was wheelchair bound and couldn’t drive, it was his wife behind the wheel. Since his wife wasn’t a Costco employee, if there had been an accident, Costco would have been liable. So that was his first and last night on lot duty.
As my coworker put it: Pam has no problem throwing anyone and everyone under the bus if it benefits her. She’s that sort of person. Namely, an awful person. But it explains why she has zero friends and why Dalton refused to say anything to back her up that night she refused to do the last procedure.Management is either clueless or spineless. But Pam doesn’t deserve her job. Not at all. She’s
Management is either clueless or spineless. But Pam doesn’t deserve her job. Not at all. She’s manipulative, to put it bluntly and all she’s doing is screwing with everyone.
As for the weekend, it wasn’t tremendously busy. We would start out strong but things would taper off as the day wore on; I was even cut on Sunday. But it seems that everyone who did shop during the weekend was simply grabbing a few things that they needed for the cabin up north. It really was quiet compared to Friday.
This is the unofficial start of summer. I’m not sure if I’m ready for summer just yet.
