The Knees of the Many

I could seriously use a Miracle Worker.

My knees have decided that they hate me and want to make my life miserable. At first, it was just my right knee and it would shift between aching or simply being stiff. But now my left knee has joined in the fray; it does something similar but it switches off from the right. In other words, my right knee will feel better, but my left will start hurting. When my left knee calms down, it’s time for the right one to protest. It makes walking a royal pain and there have been a few times when I thought I might fall because my knees wanted to buckle when I stood.

Lovely. Just lovely. The garbage with the right one started back in November. This crap with the left? About two weeks ago. It’s like I can’t catch a break.

I do have a doctor’s appointment coming up so I’ll be sure to mention this when I’m there. If I’m lucky it won’t be anything major. But this is me we’re talking about here and my luck is streaky at best.

What makes things worse is the fact that my knees really act up after an eight hour shift. If I’m doing a five or six hour shift, I’m pretty much okay. I really hope that the prescription for this isn’t a cut in hours. I kinda like having those fat paychecks, thank you.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
