Non-Attending Package

Bumblebee made that look good.

Robo Con was just last weekend; it seems like it’s going to be the last one. I guess when it came between the conventions, BotCon won out. I’m not surprised. Which leads me to the subject of today’s post.

It seems we may be dealing with more than one BotCon this time around. We might be looking at satellite conventions being licensed out and run by some vetted groups. Which also means that there may–heavy emphasis on may–be different exclusives at each one.

I have no idea if Hasbro is okay with any of this. I have no idea how we might even be getting exclusives. I have no idea how any of this may or may not happen. I don’t know if this will be an official Transformers convention or just a fan convention, let alone having anything close to an exclusive of some kind. But the idea of multiple cons in multiple places with multiple exclusives kinda makes my head swim. Prime’s a completionist, which means he wants everything. He’d want all of the different exclusives. That’s just how he is and how he’s always been. I fear that there just might be an exclusive I want, but it’s only available at a convention I can’t attend.

Not a pleasant thought, to say the least.

But it’s not like BotCon is right around the corner. It’s going to be a while; at least a year. Maybe by then I’ll know a little bit more.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
