I actually took a couple of selfies with these. No lie.

I managed to grab some sunscreen and some other things for our August trip. The last time Prime was at a Brewers game, he got a little sun on his hands and his neck. I want to prevent that from happening again. Thankfully, Equate makes a 100 SPF sunscreen similar to Neutrogena; it’s twice the amount and half the price, so I grabbed two.

My local Walmart also did some restocking so I managed to get some essentials. I might start putting together my suitcase tomorrow, just because.

I’m actually a little bit excited. Still somewhat wary, but getting excited.

I admit that the pandemic has really screwed with my head. I find it hard to trust people anymore, since so many of them couldn’t handle an apocalypse that was set on easy mode. It didn’t help having the Grand Nagus turn the whole thing political either.

We had some members who painted “Open Wisconsin” on their vehicle. Another one decided to be “cute” and tied a mask to the frame of his glasses so it dangled in front of his face. When we started enforcing the mask regulations, he stopped coming in and I haven’t seen him in a year. (Part of me wonders if he fucked around and found out and I might never see him again.) We had members walking in with masks and removing them once they got passed the door.

Okay, so it really wasn’t the pandemic. It was the people. The people were the ones who really messed with my head. Which is why I’m probably never going to stop wearing a mask.

I’m trying to ease back into a normal life, but it hasn’t been easy. I’ve been buying masks at work and if I spot any reusable masks at Walmart, I try to pick them up if I can. I have a decent collection of them and I hope to use them for a while.

I’ll be wearing a mask at Target Field, in case you were wondering. It’s going to be a Brewers mask, of course.

This might be my new normal. I guess I’m okay with that.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
