We have arrived in Minnesota. We left around 11:00, with a few hiccups, but it was fairly uneventful until we hit an area known as Knapp, Wisconsin. Just as we got to that particular area, we ran into some rather dark looking clouds.
It wasn’t. We got caught in an awful downpour. I don’t know how, but Prime was able to see the lanes and kept us on the road and safe. I saw at least one car pulling over to wait things out and I didn’t blame them whatsoever. It was bad. But Prime kept his cool as he always does and got us through it.
The weather cleared not long afterwards and the drive became a lot more pleasant.
We got to our hotel a little bit after 18:00, checked in, and grabbed some food. Prime found a local pizza place–Green Mill–and got a pair of pizzas, along with a slice of chocolate cake for moi and some cheese curds for Prime. For my pizza, I went rather simple: bacon and extra cheese.
Before you ask: yes, it tasted as good as it looked. There’s still a few slices left; since it has bacon, I might just have them for breakfast tomorrow!
Prime decided on jalapeño and anchovies. Yes, you are reading that correctly. Jalapeños are fine, but anchovies are more than a little bit salty. I should know; I’ve tried anchovy paste. It’s definitely not my thing. But hey, if Prime likes it, more power to him.
Dessert was fantastic, but I didn’t need to tell you that.
It’s been quite the day. Eventful. Topsy turvy. Weird in some cases. But we’re here now and tomorrow we’ll be at Target Field, cheering for the Brewers. I have my outfit already picked out, down to the earrings. It’s going to be a blast. Don’t worry: I’ll post about it. So until tomorrow, have a great rest of your day and I’ll see you soon!
