Well, that’s not how anyone wanted the season to end. That was terrible. Absolutely terrible. That’s probably one of the most blatantly obvious blown calls I’ve ever seen. At least, since Jim Joyce. That was truly awful.
I get it: you didn’t want to see the season end like that. I mean, sometimes it ends with a bang, sometimes it ends with a whimper, and sometimes it ends with you saying, “Are you effing serious?!”
This was the last one. It sucks. It absolutely sucks. Because if the right call had been made, who knows what might have happened. There could have been a start to a rally. But now we’ll never know.
Instead, everyone’s just asking “What if?” and “Why?” I don’t blame you. It really feels like the Dodgers catch all the breaks and screw everybody else. I should know. They’ve screwed over my Brewers. It’s maddening.
But don’t fret. It’s only 167 days until Opening Day. There’s also Spring Training in February. Baseball will be back. You’ll have another clean slate and another chance to make a run for the postseason.
We can make it. Trust me. We can get through this.
