For those of you wondering: Christmas Eve wasn’t too bad. We started off fairly brisk, but by the time 15:00 rolled around, it was fairly calm. Most businesses here shut down by 16:00 on Christmas Eve, so a lot of people were on their way home or were doing something with their families. Past 16:00 we had a few stragglers coming in for a few forgotten items and little else. So it wasn’t an overwhelming day. I’m rather relieved about that.

Christmas itself was quiet and low key. It was just Prime, Lulu, and myself. We watched some Netflix, ate, relaxed. Nothing too exciting, which is how I prefer it. I’m not even all that interested in exchanging gifts. (We’re adults. Prime and I already buy whatever we need or want. We don’t have any real use for exchanging gifts on Christmas.)

On the day after Christmas, I had to work. It wasn’t busy; we had a few rushes but nothing huge. We didn’t even hit 2,300 for the whole day. I was surprised that no one was sent home early, as we really didn’t need everyone. There were times that we were all just standing around, doing next to nothing.

We’re down to the last few days of the year. I mean, 2021 is almost over and I have to say, what TAF was that bullshit?!

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
