Minor Updates

Mostly my joints.

If you want to get the latest on BotCon, you can point your browser over here and see the latest on the convention policies. But the biggest one:

BotCon 2022 takes the health of our attendees and staff very seriously. The convention presented by Agabyss will be in full compliance with all current CDC guidelines in respect to Covid-19 and the current pandemic. At this time we have taken the added step of requiring masks for anyone entering the showroom/display areas at BotCon 2022.

So yes. Masks are required. That’s probably going to put some fans off, but I’m fine with that. I’ve been masking up for almost two years, so this literally doesn’t bother me. To be honest, I was planning on doing this anyway; I was planning on bringing a supply of both disposable and cloth masks to the convention for use while out in public. This just makes it easier. I’m glad to see this.

Prime and I just finished Eternals; it’s a good film with some nice action, but it takes its time doing the world building. It was nice to hear David Kaye as Arishem and I hope he reprises the role. I’m kinda disappointed with Sprite, however. I loved her character but couldn’t help but get upset about her choices near the story’s end. Honestly? When I was her age, I had zero desire to go full adult. I knew it was absolute bullshit when I was a kid and wanted no part of that crap. The whole growing up thing is a trap.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
