It seems that Kim got the full time position; I’m not too upset about it because she actually could use the money. She’s stuck with a shitload of debt, thanks to her ex-husband. But it still bothers me that there were multiple people who wanted to apply but didn’t because they didn’t have a driver’s license. I think Costco is being more than a little shortsighted about this; we have damn near an entire generation who doesn’t drive because it’s just too damn expensive. It doesn’t help that Costco basically wants you to put mileage on your own vehicle; if driving around the parking lot was that important, wouldn’t the company provide a car? Just saying because it sounds like they’re being ridiculously cheap to their own employees.
The only thing that matters right now is BotCon. I have my tee shirts picked, I have two pairs of jeans at the ready, I’m working on some other items but I’m almost ready.
Did I mention that the convention is in five months? Because I don’t actually have anywhere to go until August. I’m not joking.
There are a few other things that I need. But not many. It shouldn’t take long. The wait is torture but if I didn’t have it, I don’t know if I would stay at my job. The prospect of BotCon is the only thing that keeps me there and working.
