The weather has certainly taken a turn for the chillier; I’ve now piled three blankets on my side of the bed and I’m currently rocking the warm fuzzy socks that I grabbed from Costco last year. Currently, we have some fleeced joggers on sale and I’m considering grabbing a pair. The fans, which were welcomed during the summer are rapidly becoming unbearable for me. I may have to turn them down on my days off so I don’t get too chilled.
Another sign of the season: Prime and I got our absentee ballots. We’ll be filling them out soon.
To say that I’m nervous about the election–and pretty much every single one in the future–is an understatement. I fear for the future of this country.
Prime and I watched the entire first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds recently and the first episode is still hanging over me like the sword of Damocles. The United States going through a second Civil War was mentioned; making it worse was the accompanying images later in the story.
This was directly inspired by January 6th. It was more than obvious. And it disturbed me on a level I can’t begin to explain.
For the last few days, the skies have been a dull grey color, which matches my mood perfectly. I’m just waiting for the next shoe to drop. And I’m dreading it.
