EarthSpark News (and a Spoiler)

Earlier today, we got a little more news about Transformers: EarthSpark; it’s quite a bit to digest, to be honest and it contains a fairly massive spoiler. If you want to be surprised, then don’t hit the jump. If you’re ready to see what was revealed, go ahead and meet me past the jump.

Everybody ready? Let’s get into this!

If you’d like to see the trailer, just head over here. Warning: it’s on Twitter so it’s best if you only watch it and stay far away from the comments. (Yes, it’s a fairly toxic hellscape.)

Now, we learned a while ago that Megatron had reformed; he’s still calling himself a Decepticon but he’s not hostile towards the Autobots. But the biggest surprise was this:

Now, there are plenty of people on Twitter trying to claim that there’s no way this is a sequel to G1 but I’m forced to wonder. Especially when you see something like this:

To me, this seems to say “Kelvin time-line”, like the last batch of Star Trek movies. Something zigged where it originally zagged and we have a brand new splinter reality. Basically, something changed and a new universe was created, but the original one exists as well. Transformers embraced the idea of the multiverse and this seems to be the latest iteration.

Honestly? This just makes me even more excited. I can’t wait to sit down and watch the first episode.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
