We were fairly busy today; door counts were in the 200s. I honestly have no idea how busy it might have been earlier in the week, as I wasn’t at the door all day.
Again, they’re playing games. But let them. It literally doesn’t matter.
Over my break, I managed to read this Reddit post. Poor guy is basically stuck training someone who’s been hired in a senior position, one that the original poster knew and understood, but wasn’t considered as a candidate for promotion. It wasn’t just the post itself; it was the comments that were the real wake up call.
Sure, they’re paying me, but they haven’t promoted me even though I have gotten good reviews. They’re more than happy to ask me to come in early or stay late, but don’t want me at the door. As long as I benefit them, they’re happy to use me.
But they won’t give me a full-time position. They don’t want me in Member Service. But they’re happy to use me for whatever benefits them.
Nope. We’re done with that. I do my job. That’s it. No above and beyond. No ass busting. None of it. Because they don’t deserve it. They never deserved it.
They don’t deserve my loyalty because they aren’t loyal to me.
