Sunday Morning Nostalgia Crush!
The opening of The Tom and Jerry Show. Apparently, this first aired in 1975 but I remember watching it a lot as a kid during the 1980s. It must have been in syndication for a long damn time.

Sunday Morning Nostalgia Crush!
The opening to The Scooby Doo Show. It might have been on Boomerang occasionally but I don’t know for certain. The introduction looks familiar to me.

The intro to Scooby Doo Where Are You! Fun fact: Frank Welker, the voice of Freddie actually wanted the role of Shaggy, since he was more comedic. Casey Kasem, the voice of Shaggy, was hoping to be cast as Freddie, … Continue reading →

The opening and closing to The Flintstone Kids. I swear, nearly every property in the 1980s had a version that featured kids. I’m surprised we didn’t get a “Star Wars Kids” cartoon.

The opening to Fantastic Max. This was in heavy rotation on Boomerang back when it first went on the air. To call it “trippy” is a bit of an understatement.

The opening and closing to The Jetsons. Not-so-fun-fact: it seems everyone was living in those skyscrapers because the Earth’s surface was far too polluted for anyone to stay there. How… cheerful. 😦

The opening and closing to The New Scooby-Doo Movies. Quite a few familiar names in those vocal credits. I caught this a few times on Cartoon Network back when it first started up.

The opening to Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels. Hanna-Barbera was really weird and a bit cookie cutter: let’s have some teens solve crimes with a weird sidekick.

The opening and closing to Josie and the Pussycats. I think I would watch this for the cat; he seemed like the smartest one there.

The opening and closing to Space Ghost. This show was actually very serious; Brak was an absolute asshole at times and not the loveable buffoon we knew in Cartoon Planet. Zorak was always an ass, in case you were wondering.
