Medical Follies Redux

I don’t want to adult today.

Today wasn’t a great day; I had another MRI. However, I did learn something quite valuable: the next time I’m due for another, I’m going to request an ultrasound for my arms. My right hand isn’t cutting it anymore, my left hand has good veins but with a valve in one, which renders it useless for IV placement, and the ones in the crook of my arm roll. But with an ultrasound, we found a good one and got the IV in without incident.

It wasn’t a long scan but it left me exhausted. Also, those machines are ridiculously loud and sound like a starship in distress. I honestly thought I was onboard the Enterprise while it was in the middle of a red alert.

But I’m okay. Everything went well. So there’s that.

Tomorrow, I plan on sleeping in a little while. Maybe that will help me feel better.

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
